Basically Bintan is by far the cheapest. If three persons sharing a room, for a 3D2N trip "smelly smelly" $200-300 SGD. Btw the prices are valid til 19th December only except for the 'Bintan Lagoon Resort'.
For the Vietnam trip, the cheapest for a 3D2N stay plus air tickets at a 3*hotel is about $800 plus airport taxes.
We can also consider Star Cruise for the Xmas/NY week. However be prepared to have a burnt pocket as it will easily cost over $900 SGD for a decent cabin room and at least $600 for the bare minimum.
A few more days the travel agent will call me and update me on the latest travel prices and stuff. Will update then..

anyway here's my input..
1. cruise is out of the question cos it's ex and rather uninteresting
2. bintan sounds gd. but got $200-300 so much meh? according to ur nirvana brochure, a 3ple sharing suite for 3D2N would yield abt 170 per person only, no? ($108 for first 2 nights + $60 for extension of 3rd night = 168 per person)
3. Hanoi's package is too overpriced through agencies. If book hotel and air tix(tigerair) online, total cost should not exceed $500 (yes tax incl n everything).
The agencies' package offers 5star international hotels while we can save alot by going for 3or 4 star hotel. To add on, the package includes economy air tix rather than budget ones. That explains the huge price diff.
Okie that's all.. hope everyone else can come to a decision soon =)

my only confirm is the booking of the air tickets plus visa if we are decided on going to Vietnam. That must be handled quickly
