After slacking and missing the sunrise because of passivity (actually because of brushing teeth issues), we went for our breakfast buffet at the bistro expecting a whole lots of spread, all the local cuisine... but all that was served were toast, watermelon and orange juice. Ha ha what a disappointment! =)

Then we proceed to the snorkeling rental booth near the jetty to rent the equipments for our session later. Along the way, we came across a motorcycle with a side carriage and a mural depicting marine life, so very old school. As usual, we camera-whored.

After the snorkeling, we cooked pan cakes(star shaped), udon mee & curry chicken
We had plans to take the 3pm ferry which will in turn make it possible for us to take the 5.30pm bus ride back to SG from Mersing. However as the time passed, the ferry was never in sight. Then after calling the Island Connection Agency regarding the ferry, they confirmed for us the 4.30pm ferry. In the meantime we explore the area, and had fun at the jetty!

After watching the guys doing the jetty jump which we had intended to try on day 1 of our trip, we decided to take the plunge.

Gosh.. i think i need diving lessons badly!!! lol
Then after all the fun (and embarrassment -_-** lol!), we left Panuba Jetty for Mersing in Bluewater Express ferry. Later when we reached Mersing at about 6.30pm, we discovered that actually Mersing is rather dead at night and there aint any bus back to JB or SG. Taxi rides were also a no-no since it was freaking expensive (RM180). So we decided to maybe have our dinner 1st at the cafe near the jetty.
Then after slacking at the cafe for awhile, we contemplated with the idea of going up north to maybe Kuantan since there is 10 or 11 pm bus going northwards. Later we scrapped the idea as the bus ride was fully booked. So we scout around the area for a cheap night stay around Mersing. Then we came across a very old school type of restaurant serving very cheap and good food. This place even has a outdoor movie viewing with tables in red cloth. Romantic. Imagine eating under the starlight...
After the meal which lasted for 2hrs plus chit chat and stuff, we moved on on our quest for a hotel. We even thought of staying with the locals for a night but i felt the feeling is too urbanised like very everyday. Later as we walked aimlessly up and down the street of Mersing, the auntie at the restaurant who was pregnant offered to show us the light by driving us to the hotel. Touched by her friendly gesture. Will go back to the restaurant for a meal everytime i go to Mersing.
