Soy Bean is making me gay!

Today during my shift i came across an article in The Straits Times under Mind Your Body section.

The title is 'Soy-based foods linked to low sperm count'. The fuzz about Soybean products is that the more it is incorporated into the average guy's diet, the lower the sperm concentration.

How much of soy is enough to do damage? ... half a serving of soy-based foods per day.

It is believed that soy products have in abundance of the plant form of the female sex hormone oestrogen known as phytoestrogen. That's how i derived the hypothesis which is the more soy in your system, the more feminine you get ( or simply gay) due to the lowered sperm concentration cause by an increase in female sex hormones in your body.

Thus, risk becoming gay by being SOY-friendly.

Good luck my friend. LOL

Day at Fico

Just came back from FICO after few hours of high intensity football game. Basically the venue is very ideal for soccer. It's sheltered, located in a quiet neighborhood with minimal dust and pollution, affordable (provided you go with a big company of friends).

This FICO Sport Hub which is located off Jalan Behar, near Jurong Divisional Police HQ and minutes from NTU, is fast becoming a hip and happening place. Today was my second visit there with my colleagues. One word to describe it, fun! Where in singapore can u find a pitch which is indoor, carpet-ed, music accompanied, and with all changing room facilities for just $60 for 2 hrs (about 5-10 dollars per head). The only complain i have is that the PA personel is very accurate with his call-out for us to end our 2hr soccer session. Boring!

Reflections

Today night shift was a headache. Literally. Cause lack of sleep and information overdose. Punishing myself for not resting as standard allocated time was my way of reminding myself not to take work for granted.

ML just msn me regarding a short getaway from SG. Kukup? Tioman? Which is a nicer place to go for a short mid week getaway? Have to apply for section 1 leave from my SI again. Looks bad for my repute.

End of Echo Life

24 July had just passed and we stand down yesterday as early as 6.30pm. Everything went smoothly except for the SOP intrusion exercises and we were even commended for our alertness.

Day one was the adaptation phase. Especially for us PCGO since our daily job is vastly different from the normal div life. Our jobs consist of manning the WTMD, restricting access to sensitive areas, foot patrol area the premises and the interior of the meeting venue. Day one went smoothly with the raid teamers conducting intrusions of all sort at all stations. However all attempts were stopped successfully.

Day two was the continuation phase. All procedures had been briefed and drilled in our heads by now. Different stations were familiar with their SOP. Human traffic increased significantly over time at each station. More visitors and staff were stopped, checked and searched for security reasons. With more checks means manpower will get stretched more which bring about operational fatigue. However with the help of external security agency and sufficient mealbreaks and periodic rest, we were able to manage.

Day three was the final phase. After the steep learning curve from the 1st two days, we were really effective in our jobs. Since it was the final lap which, it mean that most officers were both physically & mentally drained. However with the regular Supervisory rounds by our TL, we were given motivation and encouragement which provide the boost in our security efforts.

This three days were very meaningful and provide many learning points which can be used in both my working and personal life.
